About the film…

The Great Lakeview Bake-Off is a heartwarming faith-based comedy about grief, grace, and love. Widowed single father Tony Hernandez enters his church’s annual fundraiser to sell baked goods hoping to reconnect with his daughter, only to find himself competing against Denise Jenkins, the event’s five-time top earner who isn’t ready to give up her crown. When Pastor Brown urges Denise to work with Tony, she pretends to cooperate while secretly trying to protect her title. But as misunderstandings grow and truths begin to surface, Tony forms a meaningful connection with Faith Bell, a kind-hearted woman who challenges him to open his heart again. Rhett and Shelby Timmons: Producers

Rhett has served as cinematographer on five feature-length films, bringing seasoned visual storytelling and on-set leadership to every project. Shelby has worked extensively as a BTS photographer and production assistant across numerous productions, developing a keen eye for continuity, crew coordination, and the needs of a fast-moving set.

This upcoming film marks key firsts for both:

  • Shelby’s first role as 1st Assistant Director, stepping into primary responsibility for scheduling, shoot-day logistics, cast and crew management, and safety oversight.

  • Their first time producing together, taking on overarching creative and practical responsibilities — from pre-production planning and budgeting to post-production oversight and delivery.

What to expect from them in these roles:

  • Clear, achievable shooting schedules that prioritize safety and creative coverage.

  • A collaborative environment where department heads are consulted and empowered.

  • Efficient problem-solving on set, minimizing delays and maximizing usable coverage.

  • Visually driven production decisions guided by Rhett’s cinematic sensibilities and Shelby’s operational foresight.

Extra Interest Form

  • Filming will take place around Clarksville at various business, but the two big days we need extras will be filmed at Awaken Church on Riverside Drive.

  • This form is for us to get an estimate and ensure we have enough extras for each day. If you fill out a form and later realize you can’t make it, please email hello@timmonsproductions.com so we can remove you from our list.

  • We plan to provide food for extras who are on set for the full day, Saturday June 13th.

    Sunday June 14th is a short time slot, so food is TBD.

  • No film experience needed! Your role in the film is to be a member of the church congregation, so just be yourself. More details about on-set etiquette and safety will be sent out closer to filming.

  • The extra roles on this film are volunteer only, but credit will be given in the movie for those who opt in.

Crew Volunteer Form

Interested in volunteering as a member of the film crew? Fill out the form and let us know what you’re interested in and we will get in contact with you.

  • Filming will take place at various businesses around Clarksville, TN.

  • Filming will take place from June 13 to June 19th. Crew members will need to be generally available for 12 hour days during this date range, except for Sunday morning.

  • The majority of our camera, sound, grip, and electric roles are filled. The remaining positions are primarily PA roles that are volunteer based. Credit in the film and IMDb will be given to all crew members. Meals and craft services will also be provided daily to all crew members.

  • The majority of our crew consist of experienced filmmakers, but we love working with passionate, creative, hard-working people. If you have a strong work ethic and a desire to make a great film, go ahead and fill out the form and tell us about yourself!
